White serpent around a mystical jewel (HOUJU). Since antiquity it is believed that the white serpent is a messengeur of the gods besides foreshadowing good fortune. The sacred calligraphy in the Houju symbolizes Dainichi Nyorai, the great sun that illuminates every corner of the space, all the other Buddhas sprout from their immense energy and are engraved on the skin of the serpent. Altogether they represent the 13 main Buddhas. It is an honor to be part of this project (Houju tattoo machines) that allows me to spread my great passion for tattoo and traditional Japanese culture.
